I think they will be a real wardrobe staple. I really like this pants style, and I am planning a pair without the front zippers and with a side zipper. They should be wearable with a shirt tucked in. I recommend something with smaller teeth. That is probably a fault of the particular zipper I used.

The zippers kind of bother me when I wear them, and my skin gets caught in them. I picked it up on clearance from a local store, and it was a super awesome deal. The fabric I used was a woven fabric similar to denim (I am not sure what kind exactly), with a tiny bit of stretch. I adjusted the pattern and hoping the next pair will be better. I cut size 38, and as usual, they ended up huge, so I took them in a lot and got them to fit well, but not perfect. They also have a side zipper which I didn’t add, because I thought it was an overkill. They are slim leg, and have 2 zippers in the front. This is the second pants pattern that I made this from issue. I haven’t been able to wear them anywhere since we have been staying home the last 2 months. I took them in a lot and I adjusted my pattern. I always have that issue with Burda pants, but I am afraid to cut a smaller size in case they end up too small. The fabric I used was a twill with a little bit of stretch, and I made size 38.

I loved these pants in the magazine, and I had to make them. I will also be making an all black one like the magazine model. I used a wool dobby fabric that I purchased from Sincerely Rylee. Wear it with a belt or without a belt, it looks great either way. This one is amazing! I can’t even tell you how much I love it. I extended the arm hole length a little bit, but next time I will not extend it at all, and add binding. The fabric wasn’t enough to cut sleeves, so I made it sleeveless. I used a top that I made a few years ago when I was starting to sew, and let’s just say it wasn’t the best thing I’ve made. Still, I love it so much that I immediately made another one. So it turned out great! I love it, but I feel the pleated sleeve is making me look a bit too wide at the top. So I modified the pattern to remove length from the bodice back, and then I fixed my actual top. The fit was great, except I had too much fabric bunching at the back right above the waist seam. I used this chambray fabric they I got on clearance. I made size 38, with no changes to the pattern, so I can test pthe fit. I will make another post about the other makes. In this post, I will only share my makes from Burda Style Magazine 3/2018. It took a while to go trough all my new clothes, and the husband didn’t complain once, even thought I knew he wanted to. The easiest way is to do it in front of the house, so no setup needed. I did my hair, make up, and enlisted the husband to take pictures. Finally I decided I have enough of new outfits and I needed to dress up and take some pictures.

So I have been sewing, but I didn’t take pictures of anything.

Working from home is nice, but I miss the social interaction at the office. There are a lot of patterns in this issue that I love. This post is about all the patterns I have sewn from Burda Style magazine issue 3/2018.
